My name is Christos Palidis. I am from Greece and I have just started as a Ph.D. student at WUR and the Department of Education and Learning Sciences.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, specializing in health and welfare management. Subsequently, I pursued aMaster'sdegree in Management, Economics, and Consumer Studies at Wageningen University & Research, specializing in Business. In my Master's thesis and research internship, together with my supervisors, we managed to be frontrunners in a topic, sustainable healthcare, thatis now exploredon a much broader scale.

I see it as my missionto contribute to a sustainable world, influence positive change, and create impact. From a very young age, I knew exactly what I wanted to doin life. Influenced by family members that I alwayslooked up to, I wanted to continue in their footsteps and pursue a Ph.D. However, not just any Ph.D., but one that is closely related to my core values and mission in life. The moment I saw the opening for this Ph.D. position and read the job description, it became apparent that this isa greatopportunity to fulfill a dream while working on a topic that isvery close to my heart. As a Ph.D. student, I will work on the Fingerprint 2 Footprint project. I am at the starting point of my research, and I look forward to delving into learning and engaging in discussions with researchers, teachers, and students within ELS, WUR, and of course, stakeholders that are part of the project. My Ph.D. is under the supervision of Dr. Renate Wesselink, Dr. Yvette Baggen, and Dr. Pablo Morales.

Furthermore, my hobbies include listening to music, cycling, playing guitar, reading books, and long-track speed skating for which I am an instructor at the Jaap Eden Ice Ring in Amsterdam. Please feel free to reach out, I would be happy to join discussions have a coffee, and most of all learn!
