Our Department of Practicum Facility Support (PFO) is committed to providing optimal services for all labs in the teaching buildings of Wageningen University & Research. A team of 20 employees works in close consultation with the lecturers and provides support to ensure that the practicums run smoothly. These labs, which are held in various teaching buildings, are very diverse. Ranging from chemically oriented labs to animal and plant dissection labs. Your work consists of:
- In a lively environment taking care of all matters concerning lab preparation. With the team you do this for about 250 different subjects in 50 lab rooms;
- Working in teams of varying sizes from 3 people to about 8 people;
- Facilitate and assist teachers and teaching staff during the labs;
- As Practicum Support Officer, manage lab rooms, supplies, (chemical) waste and documents;
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment;
- Supervise compliance with (safety) rules and regulations.
Your qualities
Your Qualities
You are/have:
- Completed at least an MLO-4 degree in chemistry or biological/medical;
- A positive team player who is helpful, solution-oriented and independent;
- You are an expert in communication and planning to increase the success of a practical;
- You can switch quickly between tasks and this gives you a lot of energy;
- You speak and understand English;
- In possession of a first aid and BHV diploma or willing to get these;
- You are available for 0,8 FTE.
