Seasonal talk: Moving towards more inclusive and innovative research
September seasonal talk and workshop on how to move away from extractive research practices, and towards more inclusive, innovative and impactful research
Together, we will reflect on how research relationships, project development and goals-setting, responsibilities and benefits sharing can be made more inclusive and respectful of local priorities and knowledge systems. This is especially relevant for our work in international (but also national) contexts and given WUR history (check out this article on decolonizing WUR).
The event will include:
- A short presentation on How to move away from Helicopter Science
- Small group discussions
- A plenaryy exchange of ideas, tools and commitments for change
This interactive session will explore how we can foster more equitable and inclusive approaches in forest and nature conservation research.
