Your Job
Your role as Senior Specialist Information Management (Records Management) extends beyond your responsibility for analog and digital information management. In addition to the importance of correctly and efficiently registering, archiving, organizing, selecting, storing, and destroying company information, we are looking for your interest in and vision of digitization and how you can convey this to users and colleagues. How can you help to strengthen our department's position within WUR and gain more control over information within our organization?
You will be working in a team of records managers and you will also be working within DM together with records managers and functional application managers. As a team, we are constantly looking to improve and further digitize our services. We also want to be more proactive and advise on content and good information management within WUR. All team members are expected to have a constructive and collaborative attitude. Our records managers are expected to be flexible and versatile.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Advising users on our information policy/archive policy and supporting the correct use of the appropriate information systems;
- Registering, checking, correcting, and archiving files in the Corsa DMS;
- Contributing ideas and helping to develop our services and quality assurance;
- You will select and destroy (digital) archives;
- You enjoy getting your teeth into relocation projects and clean-up operations involving information management objects;
- You enjoy contributing to the improvement of work processes;
- Location: Wageningen,
- No objection to traveling to other WUR locations.
Your qualities
You are/have:
- A completed MBO-4 level education + several years of relevant work experience;
- An affinity for and familiarity with archiving regulations and information management;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English;
- The willingness and commitment to master the field through further training;
- Experience with digital information systems such as Corsa and Sharepoint;
- Able to work in a highly structured manner;
- An honest and proactive personality, flexible and with problem-solving skills.

Our department is part of the Facilities Department, a division of Wageningen University & Research where fundamental and applied scientific research complement each other. The Facilities Department develops and manages the physical and digital working environment of Wageningen University & Research and supports staff and students in its use. Document Management contributes to this by facilitating the organization in areas such as:
- Advising on responsible and transparent information management;
- Safeguarding legal documents worthy of archiving, with a digital approach as the starting point.
