Your job
At the IT Workplace Services (ITWS) Service Point, you ensure that students and colleagues receive prompt and effective assistance with their laptops, workstations or audiovisual equipment. You are the one who ensures that everyone gets the right hardware and can get to work without any hassle.
You will work in a committed and friendly team that is there to support the entire WUR community. Thanks to your help, laptops and other devices will work as they should. In doing so, you will directly support the education and research activities of Wageningen University & Research and contribute to our mission: “to explore the potential of nature to improve the quality of life”.
Your duties and responsibilities include:
- You assist WUR students and staff with their IT queries and are their first point of contact.
- You will issue laptops and other devices, set them up and clearly explain how they work.
- You will manage and install mobile devices and reuse used equipment.
- You will keep the stock management and logistics of the warehouse tidy and in order.
- You will process reports and requests carefully and accurately in our system.
You will be part of a team with great colleagues. Together, you will ensure that students and staff always receive excellent service in the area of laptops and audiovisual equipment. This allows them to study, teach and conduct research without any problems.
Within our IT teams, we work in an open and collaborative manner. We believe communication, collaboration and giving each other feedback are very important.
We are looking for someone who enjoys IT, likes working with people and has experience in issuing and managing various devices.
You will work here

Your qualities
- A completed MBO ICT level 4 or higher education.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar IT position.
- Good knowledge of Windows 11, macOS, Android and iOS.
- Accurate in working with administrative systems.
- Good physical condition and a can-do attitude: you like to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
- Experience with ticket systems and basic knowledge of ITIL.
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages (spoken and written).You also possess
In our international working environment, communication is increasingly taking place in English. For this position, B2 level is required. If you do not yet have this level, we will of course help you with our our language centre Wageningen.
