In Forum Library you can now see a small selection of artworks from WUR’s art collection. The mini-exhibition includes work from the well-known Dutch artist herman de vries.

herman de vries

One of the featured artists in the Library’s mini-expo is herman de vries. His name is written without capitals because herman wants to emphasise that everyone is equal. His central theme is ‘nature is art’. herman worked as a botanist/analyst from 1961 to 1968 at, among others, the Institute for Applied Biological Field Research (ITBON), a predecessor to Wageningen Environmental Research. This year, he’s nominated for the national election ‘Artist of 2024’. An article about his art will be published in the November edition of the Rijksmuseum Bulletin. In the mini-expo, you can see some of his artworks.
