The Nematology Group Will Always Be My First Choice
Studying in the Laboratory of Nematology has been one of the most heartwarming experiences of my master journey. Right from the start, I felt included, supported, and truly valued as a member of the team. The atmosphere in the group is incredibly friendly, open, and inspiring—people are always willing to help and share ideas.

My research practice focused on how light conditions influence Arabidopsis responses to cyst nematode (Heterodera schachtii) infection, both on the transcriptomic and phenotypic level. It was a challenging and rewarding project, and I learned so much—from experimental design and data analysis to communicating scientific ideas. I’m especially grateful to my two supervisors, José and Rahul, who supported me with knowledge, patience, and encouragement throughout the entire process. Their guidance made this project a truly enriching experience.
Looking back, I feel incredibly lucky to have been part of this group. The people, the science, and the collaborative spirit have made a deep impression on me. No matter where I go next, the Nematology group will always be my first choice!
