Dairy Campus plays an important part in training and educating prospective dairy farmers and other professionals in the dairy chain.
In addition to innovation and research, education by learning in practice and sharing knowledge are of great importance at Dairy Campus. Students of secondary and higher professional education and universities work on their internship or their graduation project or perform exploratory studies. Dairy Campus aims to involve scientists, students and business companies in innovative projects.
The Education programme has been specially designed for up-and-coming dairy farmers. The programme comprises three lectureships, for which two new programmes are being devised. Van Hall Larenstein is currently developing a ‘Professional Master’s in Innovative Dairy Management’ and an ‘Associate Degree in Dairy Entrepreneurship’.
The lectureships will focus on:
- Large-scale dairy farming and entrepreneurship
- Sustainable dairy farming
- Smart Farming and chain efficiency
