Nature Building Kit: the tangible way to experience biobased materials

At Wageningen Food & Biobased Research, part of Wageningen University & Research (WUR), we conduct a lot of research into the properties of different types of biomass and their potential for the materials transition. We look at how carbohydrates, fibers, proteins and lignin for example can be used to develop biobased products that not only emit significantly less CO2 in their production than fossil products, but that are even able to store CO2 (such a in the case of materials with a long lifespan, such as building materials.)

To show the potential of biomass, we have developed a special Nature Building Kit together with Company New Heroes. In this kit you can see, feel and read many options for applications using biomass as their feedstock. View all panels, scan the QR code and be amazed by the possibilities.

You will find the Nature Building Kit in our hall next to the Biobased Products Innovation Plant in Wageningen. It also regularly travels to events. Would you like to have the Nature Building Kit at your event, company or class? Contact Arjen van Kampen, project manager Biobased Building Materials.

The Nature Building Kit was made possible by the
Transformative Bioeconomies
project, funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature. Check out all the featured biobased materials.
