RISE study

Good nutrition is important for health and the prevention of several chronic diseases. Dietary habits and food intake can have an effect on health through body composition.

This study will investigate the effects of food patterns differing in micronutrients on body hydration status. The RISE study is a randomized fully controlled dietary intervention of three weeks. The 75 participants will consume one of three diets, selected to differ based on nutrients. Food intake, perception and choice will be measured. In addition, dietary preferences, self-reported health status and body hydration status are also measured and monitored. People consume their lunch daily at the health research unit of the division of human nutrition, and take their other meals to go.
